The Seattle Seahawks staged a stunning fightback to overcome the Rams in extra time, clinching their spot in the postseason.

Overcoming a 30-14 deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad emerged victorious 38-37 at home, registering their fifth straight win.

While the Los Angeles had already secured a playoff berth earlier on game day, the Seahawks secured their place to the play-offs after a two-year hiatus.

With this result, the Seahawks now lead their Conference standings with a 12-3 record, supplanting the Rams, who dropped to the fifth playoff position with an 11-4 record.

Signal-caller Darnold had two interceptions but recovered to deliver two touchdown passes, culminating in the second TD to wideout Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a six-point lead at half-time before Kenneth Walker III broke free for a 55-yard touchdown run for the home side.

Rams defensive back Josh Wallace then took back Darnold's first interception for 56 yards, leading to a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the final stanza, a touchdown from Stafford to Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Shaheed ignited Seattle's hope with a 58-yard punt return.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the endzone, and a successful conversion forced the contest into an extra period.

Although Nacua raced in for his another TD in OT, Smith-Njigba answered in kind to set up the decisive score.
